Ghosts, goblins and ghouls invaded historic downtown for Scare on the Square Fall Festival
Saturday, October 30, 2014
6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Historic downtown will once again play host to a spooky good time when Cedar Hill Main Street and the Zula B. Wylie Public Library present Scare on the Square, Saturday, October 30, 2014. Aphoto album and video of the event is available online.
The frightful fun begins at 6:30 p.m. with ghost stories in Pioneer Park in the historic downtown district. The creepy tales will be performed by master storytellers Traphene Hickman and Toni Simmons. When the stories are completed, goblins and ghouls are invited to trick-or-treat with participating downtown area merchants. The festival will include children's activities, crafts, games, bounce houses, and a costume parade from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Admission to the festival is always free to children accompanied by a parent or guardian. Guests are encouraged to arrive on time for the storytelling. If you have questions regarding the event contact Patty Bushart at 972.291.5100, ext. 1084, or Betty Minshew at 972.291.5130.
The event is sponsored in part by Building the Kingdom Community Church and the Cedar Hill Citizens' Police Academy Alumni Association.
