The International Museum of Cultures is a unique cultural anthropology museum located three miles north of Cedar Hill on U.S. Hwy. 67 in Duncanville. The museum offers a fascinating pictorial window into the indigenous peoples of the world and visitors will walk away with a greater appreciation for ethnic and cultural diversity, respect for mankind and a heightened desire for worldwide peace among people.
The museum's exhibits feature contemporary peoples from around the world including interactive videos from Africa, Southeast Asia, Papua New Guinea, China, Mexico, South America and Native America, in addition to an extensive drum exhibit.
Other exhibits include authentic homes of the Lakota Sioux Native American and Papua New Guinea people.
The museum offers a variety of tours and events Monday through Saturday. Handicapped accessible parking is available, and Spanish tours are available upon request by calling 972.708.7406. Tours of 10 or more are available with 48 hour pre-schedule.
