Trails

Cedar Hill offers over 36 miles of trails, ideal for a morning run, weekend bike ride, or simply a family walk. The brand new Red Oak Creek trail is the newest addition to the ever growing trail system and links various locations throughout the city.

Red Oak Creek Trail
Red Oak Creek Trail is our newest addition to the City of Cedar Hill trail system. Enjoy the 3.16 mile,12 ft. concrete multi-use trail that links to neighborhoods, greenbelts, City Parks, schools and the Alan E. Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center. The trail was made possible by Dallas County, Cedar Hill City Council and the Community Development Corporation. 

Trail heads, or entrances, can be found at the following locations:
  • Alan E. Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center Park
  • Dot Thomas Park
  • Virginia Weaver Park
