Cedar Hill offers indoor and outdoor activities including an amusement park, 14-screen Cinemark movie theater, skating rink and studio for arts and craftsman. Tangle Ridge Golf Course, on the western edge of the city, is one of the top-rated golf courses in the state.

On the doorstep of Cedar Hill lies the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex with attractions like the Dallas Cowboys football team, the Dallas Mavericks basketball team, The Texas Rangers Baseball team, the Dallas Stars Hockey team and the Dallas Burn soccer team. The home fields, courts and ice are all within a 30 minute drive.

Other sporting attractions include Nascar racing at Texas Motor Speedway, horse racing at Lone Star Park and minor league baseball in Grand Prairie, Fort Worth and Frisco. The Professional Golfers Association tour stops twice each season in the Metroplex.

Museums

Museums include the Amon Carter Art Museum, Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Dallas Museum of Art, and many others. For more Texas culture there's the Dallas Symphony, Dallas Opera, Billy Bob's Texas and the great State Fair of Texas in Dallas' Fair Park every fall.

Nature

On the wild side you'll find the Dallas Zoo, Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, Dallas Arboretum, Dallas Nature Center and dozens of nature reserves in the Metroplex.
