'Food for Fines' program runs through January

Library patrons who may have a late fee for materials kept too long can bring them back and have fines waived if they bring one or more canned goods per library item during the month of January. For details, call the library at 972.291.7323. This is a win/win/win program, helping residents avoid fines, helping to get items returned to circulation at the library and benefiting families served by Cedar Hill Shares.

Over the past few years thousands of food items have been collected for Cedar Hill Shares through this program. You don't have to have an overdue book to donate food items. Cedar Hill Shares assists families in the Cedar Hill area.
