CELEBRATE HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH WITH THE LIBRARY

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the Zula B. Wylie Public Library with a bilingual Fiesta Storytime on September 21 and a special Family Fun Night "Dancing through the Cultures" on October 14.

Cedar Hill celebrates Hispanic heritage year-round with the following events:

  • Dia de los Muertos on November 1
  • Cinco de Mayo is held the first Saturday in May
  • Dia de los Ninos Family Book week in May
  • Quarterly bilingual storytimes

In addition to the year-round Hispanic cultural celebrations, the library offers the following services to our community in both English and Spanish:

  • Adult ESL Classes
  • Calendars and brochures provided in English and Spanish
  • Spanish Collection (books, dvd’s, launchpads)
  • Online Spanish Collections
  • Spanish Bookflix
  • Pronunciator Language Learning database (with virtual instructors)
