In partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Water University, the Zula B. Wylie Public Library the City of Cedar Hill Environmental Services Department is offering rain barrel workshops where you build and take home a working rain barrel. Learn the importance of water conservation and how to reduce your water consumption.
Space is limited. Registration is required. Rain barrels are 55 gallons, food grade and BPA-free. Please have a vehicle to bring your rain barrel home after the workshop. The barrel typically fits in the back seat of a sedan. Bring towels or blankets to protect your vehicle interior from damage.
Registration is $50 per rain barrel which covers the cost of supplies including the 55 gallon barrel, faucet, screen, caulk and gasket. Cash and credit card payment may be provided upon entry. All payments are handled by Texas A&M AgriLife Water University.

A FREE, family-friendly concert put on by the Zula B. Wylie Public Library and the Rotary Club of Cedar Hill. Texas Country Musician Big Joe Walker will play some tunes on the Village Green. Don't forget a lawn chair or blanket!

Army Corps of Engineers is hosting this public meeting to share information and collect input for revisions to the Joe Pool Lake Master Plan. the strategic land use management document that guides the comprehensive management and development of all recreational, natural, and cultural resources throughout the life of the water resource development project. In general, it defines “how” the resources will be managed for public use and resource conservation.
