The Cedar Hill City Council will act this month on the proposed Fiscal Year 2020-2021 budget, which includes a reduction in the the property tax rate to $0.688102 per $100 valuation. View the notice of the 2020 proposed property tax rate here.
In addition to maintaining current service levels, the FY21 budget continues to focus on the priorities identified by the City Council:
- Public Safety excellence and community relationships
- Implementation of the 2017 bond program (Parks, Library, and Streets/Drainage)
- Planning efforts like the downtown complete streets plan and the Comprehensive Plan
- Senior Livability
- Neighborhood Integrity and Engagement
The City Council will vote on the proposed budget and tax rate after holding a series of public hearings on Tuesday, September 22 beginning at 7 p.m. Public hearings will be held in person at the Cedar Hill Government or via telephone or video conference. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, capacity of the meeting room will be limited to 25 people, and face coverings are required.
