[ARCHIVED] Loop 9 public meetings set for SE corridor, US 67 to I-20

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will host a second series of Public Meetings for the purpose of soliciting public comments on the proposed Loop 9 Southeast Corridor/Feasibility Study from US 67 in Ellis County to I-20 in southeast Dallas County. A new location roadway is proposed with possible toll applications being applied. The intent of the Loop 9 Southeast Corridor/Feasibility Study is to develop a locally-preferred alignment that would improve transportation efficiency within Dallas, Ellis and Kaufman Counties. Identical information will be presented at both meetings.
The Public Meetings will be conducted in an Open House format along with a formal presentation. You are encouraged to attend and provide your concerns, issues and suggestions. The upcoming Public Meetings will be held on September 24th and 26th at the locations listed below:

Tuesday, Sept. 24

Maps, drawings, and other information about the project will be on display, showing the location
of the study corridor and corridor alternatives. Project personnel will be available to discuss
possible mobility and environmental effects of the proposed project and to assist in orientation
and interpretation of the drawings and other material on hand. Project information is also

All interested parties are invited to attend these Public Meetings and express their views on
these proposed improvements. Persons interested in attending the meetings who have special
communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to contact TxDOT’s Dallas District
Office Public Information Officer at (214) 320-6100 at least two (2) working days prior to the
Public Meetings. Because the Public Meetings will be conducted in English, any requests for
language interpreters or other special communication needs should also be made at least two
(2) working days prior to the Public Meetings. Every reasonable effort will be made to
accommodate those needs.

Written comments regarding the study may be submitted at the Public Meetings. If one wishes
to submit a written comment after the Public Meetings it must be hand-delivered or postmarked
