Mon Aug 12 - Cedar Hill Museum of History Board will meet at 6 pm at Cedar Hill Museum of History.  All members and visitors are welcome to attend.

Mon Aug 12
 - Cedar Hill Rotary meets in the High Pointe Baptist Church at 6 pm. 

Tues Aug 13 - City Council will be meeting at 6 pm at the Cedar Hill Government Center.

Thu Aug 15 - The Beautification Environmental Sustainability Board will be meeting at 6 pm at the Cedar Hill Government Center Executive Briefing Room.

Fri Aug 16
 - Join us for a step back in time to discover Penn Farm!  Take the Penn Farm Tour and learn what life was like on the farm, raising livestock and adapting to changes of agriculture and lifestyles.  Tour will begin at 9 am at Cedar Hill State Park. Regular park admission applies, no additional charge for activity participation.

Fri Aug 16 - Stay after the Penn Farm Tour to learn what life was like for the Penn Farm children!  During the Penn Farm Pastimes tour, you will see how they had to milk cows, collect eggs and of course had fun!  All ages are welcome at 10 am at Cedar Hill State Park. Regular park admission applies, no additional charge for activity participation. 

Sat Aug 17 - Have you ever wondered how to make your own rain water barrel? Now is your chance to learn how to make one and take it home!  Join us at the Rain Barrel Workshop from 9 am - 11 am at the Zula B. Wylie Public Library.  Registration is $50 per rain barrel which covers the cost of supplies including the 55 gallon barrel, faucet, screen, caulk and gasket. All payments are handled by Texas A&M AgriLife Water University.       

Sat Aug 17 - Tickets still available!  Lumedia Musicworks presents an extraordinary event that explores early music in Cedar Hill with a fine arts presentation of Light in the Darkness at 6:30 PM at the Promontory Mansion.  There is a charge for tickets and space is limited. - spotlight

Sat Aug 17 - Stay fit with HillsideFIT's August Interval Training on the Village Lawn from 9-10 am.

Sat Aug 17 - As always, remember you can also go hiking with your furry best friend during Dog Day Saturdays at Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center 9 am - 5 pm. Check trail status here.

Weekly, Now - Aug 9 - Enjoy fun and recreation at CHAT Summer Camp 8 am - 5 pm at the Alan E Sims Recreation Center.  Registration required.

Mon Aug 5 - Cedar Hill Rotary meets in the High Pointe Baptist Church at 6 pm. 

Fri Aug 9 - Join us for the last of the free music concerts in the Jam to Give series with the classic motown/smooth jazz tunes the Fingerprints on the Village Green at Hillside Village 7-9 pm, benefiting Inspire School Programs.

Sat Aug 10 - Bring the family and join in the fun of Nature Journaling 101 from 8 am - 9 am at the Cedar Hill State Park.  All ages are welcome and regular park admission fees apply.

Sat Aug 10 - After nature journaling, stay to learn Micro-Fishing 101.  Learn about fish habitats then put your skills to the test with a new form of catching fish, micro-fishing!  The fun starts at 9 am at the Cedar Hill State Park.  $7 per adults and children 13 and up, children 12 and under are always free!

Sat Aug 10 -  Hear testimony from Gene McGuire who was sentenced to life in prison, humbled himself with a Christ-transformation and then with an unexpected miracle was released from prison.  His presentation of Unshackled - From Ruin to Redemption will be a testimony of his journey from 9:30 am - 10:30am at Babe's Chicken Dinner House.  Free event.

Sat Aug 10 - Bring your furry best friend to cool off at the Paws in the Pool-ooza at Crawford Park Pool from 10 am - 2 pm.  Registration is $5 per dog. 

Sat Aug 10 - Gear up for summer with HillsideFIT's July Yoga on the Hill on the Village Lawn 9-10 am.

Sat Aug 10 - As always, remember you can also go hiking with your furry best friend during Dog Day Saturdays at Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center 9 am - 5 pm. Check trail status here.

Thu Aug 1 - Join in at the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast community event to pray for our community and all who live, work,visit, go to school or in any way are touched by Cedar Hill at the Alan E Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center from 7:30 am - 8:30 am.

 - Free music concerts continue with the dance tunes the Elevation presented by Emerald City on the Village Green at Hillside Village 7-9 pm, benefiting Art & Beyond.
