Mon Sept 16 - Cedar Hill Rotary Club will be meeting at 6pm at High Pointe Baptist Church for their weekly meeting.

Tue Sep 17 - CHISD Education Foundation will have their monthly meeting at the Cedar Hill Government Center 3rd Floor Training Room.  Meeting will be begin at 4:30pm.

Tue Sep 17 - Weigh in on the future of Cedar Hill ISD with Superintendent Gerald Hudson and district leaders at the Discussions with Dr. Hudson event at the Cedar Hill Government Center.  Event will be held from 6 pm - 7:30 pm and is one of the two remaining meetings.  Residents only need to attend one meeting.

Tues Sep 17 - Cedar Hill Quilters Guild will be holding their meeting at 6:30pm at the Alan E Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center.

Thu Sep 19 - Help the Friends of the Tri-City Animal Shelter raise funds on North Texas Giving Day.  This online event has become a movement that has ignited a broad culture of community-wide giving.  Click here for details of how to give..

Thu Sep 19 - The Beautification Environmental Sustainability Board will be meeting at 6pm at the  Cedar Hill Government Center Executive Briefing Room.

Thu Sep 19 - First United Methodist Church is Honoring our Teachers.  Event will have a bounce house for the kids and all are welcome to this free event from 5pm - 7pm at First United Methodist Church.

Fri Sep 20
 - Ready for some entertainment at LIVE! in Historic Downtown?  Come enjoy a FREE, live music concert with guest performance by Nashville duo, Brave Holiday.  They blend the music of traditional indie rick with a twist of vibrant pop.  Event will be from 7pm-9pm at Pioneer Park.

Sat Sep 21 - Enjoy a bit of competition with the Battle of the Marching Bands!  Bands from across the DFW Metroplex and southern region will meet and battle it out at Longhorn Stadium.  Purchase tickets in advance for a $5 discount.  

Sat Sept 21 - As always, remember you can also go hiking with your furry best friend during Dog Day Saturdays at Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center 9 am - 5 pm. Check trail status here.

Mon Sep 9 - Cedar Hill Museum of History Board will be conducting their meeting at the Cedar Hill Museum of History at 6 pm.  All members and visitors are welcome to attend.

Mon Sep 9 - Bring the family for a Family Fun Night with the Dallas Zoo STEM & You program. This is a hands-on STEM learning experience for families to help them connect to nature and animals!  Fun starts at 6:30pm at the Zula B Wylie Public Library.  This is a free event.

Tue Sep 10 - City Council meeting will be held at the Cedar Hill Government Center starting at 6pm.  View the agenda 72 hours in advance at cedarhilltx.com/adenda

Sat Sep 14 - Wake up and get the day started right at the Sunrise Yoga class at Cedar Hill State Park.  This program is welcome to all ages and is held from 7 am - 8am.  Regular park admission applies and there is a $7 a person fee for people 13 years and older).

Sat Sep 14 - Bring the family out to Cedar Hill State Park learn how to fish with a park ranger!  Learn the basics of fishing and what kinds of fish live in Perch Pond and Joe Pool Lake.  Regular park admission applies, no fee for activity participation.

City offices closed for Labor Day.

Ongoing through Sept - Sly Cat Gallery presents cliché. cliché, a show about all the artwork we made that left our teachers rolling their eyes, or our artsy friends called unoriginal. The truth is there is no such thing as originality. Artists build off the traditions and ideas of others regardless of the mediums chosen.

Mon Sep 2 - Take a step back in time for discovery at the Penn Farm Tour at Cedar Hill State Park! Learn what life was like for the Penn family from 9am - 10am.  Regular park admission fees apply.

Mon Sep 2 -  Stay after the Penn Farm Tour for Penn Family Pastimesat Cedar Hill State Park.  Learn what life was like on the Penn Farm for the children!  All ages welcome, bring your family or a friend and challenge them to our historic games from 10am - 11am. Regular park admission fees apply.

Mon Sep 2 - Cedar Hill Rotary meets in the High Pointe Baptist Church at 6 pm. 

Tue Sep 3 - Special City Council Meeting at the T.W. "Turk" Cannady/Cedar Hill Room in the Government Center at 6pm

Thu Sep 5 - Discussions with Dr. Hudson from 6pm - 7:30pm.  Weigh in on the future of Cedar Hill ISD with Superintendent Gerald Hudson and district leaders at one of our four meetings

Thu Sep 5 Join us at the Cedar Hill Comprehensive Plan Community Kick-off to find out more about Cedar Hill Next - the new City Comprehensive Plan. Learn about the goals of the project, provide your ideas, and help us build excitement as we begin to develop the vision for a future Cedar Hill!  Event will be from 7pm - 8:30pm at the Hillside Village (former University of Phoenix space).

Fri Sep 6 - Read a Book with a Pup Day!  Come join Tri-City at the DeSoto Public Library and read to a pup from 3:30pm - 5:30pm! We will be bringing a few adoptable pups for children of all ages to sit down and read with a new furry friend! 

Sat Sep 7Join Tri-City at your local Cedar Hill Petco for National Adopt Weekend! Fee-reduced adoptions on all four-legged participants. Come find your furever friend September 7th & 8th!
