Old Settler's Reunion
Friday, October 11, 2019
5:30 pm to 8 pm
Historic Downtown Cedar Hill (Houston and Broad Street)
$5 per person ($3 for children under 12)
In 1937 a small band of Cedar Hill residents gathered on the Old Town Square to fellowship and renew old friendships. As the years passed more and more folks returned on the 2nd Saturday in October for what became known as the Old Settlers' Reunion.
Today that event has grown into what we call Country Day on the Hill, but the settlers still gather around the square on Friday for Bingo, prizes, live musical entertainment, a light supper and the crowning of the King and Queen of the Hill. Proceeds benefit Bridge's Safehouse and the Cedar Hill Food Pantry.
