Cedar Hill Green Awards
The City of Cedar Hill in partnership with Waste Management, the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce, and the Beautification and Environmental Sustainability (BES) Board created the Cedar Hill Green Awards to empower Chamber businesses, non-profits, schools and/or civic organizations to implement sustainability projects distinctive to the character of Cedar Hill. Sustainability projects are measures taken to protect and enhance the environment, the economy, and equity for current residents and future generations.
The Cedar Hill Green Awards will award up to $1,500 and may distribute among one or several qualifying projects, though a competitive process. The BES Board will be the final arbiter of the award allocation. All award recipients must complete the sustainability initiative by the end of the calendar year of award acceptance. All award recipients shall be prepared to provide evidence of project completion by the end of the calendar year of award acceptance.
All Cedar Hill Green Awards applications are due annually on October 31.
Awarded projects will be notified in late December. All award recipients will be formally announced in tandem with the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce Gala typically held in February. Call (972) 291-5126 or contact Duy Vu for additional information.
After project completion, all award recipients shall submit a project final report. Reports are due on January 31.
